This short trailer gives an insight into one of the most exciting grass roots islamic educational initiatives in the West which is helping to empower people through sound Islamic scholarship and Knowledge. The one year course is the gateway on to a further four years of advanced learning.
New to Islam
New to Islam is a registered charity which aims to help and support New Muslims or converts to Islam, and anyone who has an interest or simply wishes to know more about this beautiful faith.
We are based in and around Glasgow, aiming to serve those in the city and the surrounding areas. We welcome interest from all Muslims who wish to learn the basics in a neutral, friendly informal atmosphere.
We are independent, non-sectarian, and do not promote any particular denomination or 'school of thought'. Our emphasis is upon the Qur'an and example (sunnah) of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and of the early generations of Muslims.
We have regular meetings, activities, classes and intend to begin having practical workshops on Prayer etc, but we also have some fun along the way insha’Allah!
